Welcome to the Texas Medical Board Open Records Self Service Portal (ORSSP)
The ORSSP provides the most frequently requested Open Records data in predefined
reports at a fee less than a custom open records report would cost. Newest reports are posted
on the first business day of the month. The portal currently contains data on the following license types:
- Physicians
- Physician Assistants
- Acupuncturists
- Medical Radiological Technologists
- Respiratory Care Professionals
- Perfusionists
- Medical Physicists
Information Availability
The predefined reports provide the most common publicly available data. If you desire
information that is not on the ORSSP, please submit an Open Records Request to
open.records@tmb.state.tx.us. Note that some licensee data such as application or
investigation files, personal data, or information used by security systems are considered
confidential by Texas statute and are not available.
Information Accuracy
Licensees submit some of the data provided on the ORSSP and the Texas Medical Board is not
able to guarantee the accuracy of all data. Please visit Licensee Verification which
indicates the information TMB has verified on a specific licensee.
File Formats
All reports are available in Excel except for the Directory of Practitioners which is only available in PDF format. Older reports are also available in fixed and delimited
text files, though these are being phased out.
This system and data are provided “AS IS”. Access to this computer system is authorized
for the open records self-service portal only. All other access to this computer system
is expressly prohibited. Any unauthorized access or use of this is subject to both civil
and criminal penalties. Users of this system have no expectation of privacy except as
